Rare 1964 olympic 1st day cover signed by Christopher Chatterway & Chris Brasher the Roger Bannister pace men for the 4 minute mile record.
First day cover post marked 24th October 1964 Athens signed by Christopher Chatterway and Chris Brasher. Chris Brasher 1928-2003, gold medalist from the 1956 summer Olympics in Melbourne. Also pace maker for Roger Bannister with his sub 4 minute mile in 1954 and he was also the founder of the London Marathon. Also signed by Christopher Chatterway won gold in the commonwealth games in Vancouver in 1954 and silver in the European Championship in Bern in 1954. Chatterway was also pace maker for Sir Roger Bannister in the sub 4 minute mile record. He was also a politician late 60s and early 70s.
